Fine art limited edition collage print of 10
A colourful celebration of one of Southeast London’s most distinctive landmarks.
Horniman Gardens transforms a vintage black-and-white photograph of the Horniman Museum into something bright, playful and a little surreal. Oversized botanical flowers, individually cut from an old botanical book, grow across the museum’s rooftops, set against a hand-painted sky in warm shades of pink and orange.
The original mixed-media collage brings together vintage photography, botanical imagery and hand-painted elements to reimagine a familiar local landmark through a more dreamlike lens. The flowers spilling across the museum feel almost as though the gardens themselves have grown upwards and taken over the building.
Each print is individually finished by hand with white pen details, including outlines and shadows on the flowers, making every print slightly different from the next.
A joyful tribute to the Horniman, its gardens and the magic of seeing somewhere familiar in a completely new way.
Limited edition of 10. Each print is individually signed and numbered by Steph Assez.
Available as an A3 print
Printed on archival fine art paper
Reproduced from an original handmade collage by Steph Assez
