Birthdays deserve a little extra colour.
Meticulously cut freehand from paper scraps, the oversized birthday cake sits against a vibrant backdrop of hand-torn confetti, capturing all the excitement and happiness of a special day.
Unlike many of my collages, this piece doesn't rely on vintage imagery. Instead, it's created entirely by hand, with every shape carefully cut and arranged to build a bold, contemporary composition. Full of colour and handcrafted detail, it's a cheerful design that celebrates the simple joy of birthdays.
