Ava is a unique miniature collage handmade inside an original vintage matchbox. Tiny hand-cut flowers sit in a vase created from imagery found in vintage DIY magazines dating from the 1950s–60s. By bringing together fragments of old printed material, this little floral still life gives familiar images a completely new purpose.
Each element is carefully cut and arranged by hand, transforming an everyday vintage object into an original piece of miniature collage art. It's a small-scale artwork with plenty of character, celebrating the possibilities of found materials and the unexpected things you can make from them.
